Work 1 PM ET to 11 PM ET today.  7 AM ET to 5 PM ET tomorrow.  Monday off for Labor Day end of summer holiday. Looking for entry on forex paper trade #2.

Actually Saturday morning 12:08 AM ET but wrapping up my Friday.  Completed 10 hour shift in the office.  Will work from home 10 hours tomorrow and Sunday then got Monday off for Labor Day when I'll look for an entry on paper trade #2. Big Scott jumped ship to another telecom company in Orlando, Florida.  Big Shane got transferred to another group within the company.  My group down to 11 engineers now.  Big re-orginization about done now and not much change for me from what I can tell but will find out more as the days and weeks go by. As long as that paycheck keeps coming in like it did again today I won't be complaining too much but maybe just a little for fun.

Today is payday and I'm very glad and thankful to have a job that brings in steady paychecks.  It is how I got to where I am today.   Some would say yes you have done very good Doug.  Others might say man you are a failure.   There are plenty of guys who have it worse than me and I am very thankful for every blessing that I enjoy. The trading game is a long game of psychology.  Believing it's possible while keeping at it until you make it.  Others have done it.  Most fail. This is my 4th attempt at trading. So far so good. As far as the job goes I like network engineering and I wish I was going to a good network engineering school every day and I am it's just a corporate job now and there is no structure as you find in a school where you are tested and promoted to the next grade each year. I got stopped out.  Paper trade number one is in the books.   Now to analyze the trade and start looking for an entry on paper trade number two. Today is payday at work.  First of the month is coming up on Sunday.   The first of the month is pay bills day. As long as I got my job everything is good. The current challenge is planning my retirement. I guess I would like to work as long as I can. And trade with KC until the end.

I talked with the Dave Ramsey Smartpro investment advisor on the phone.  He had one of his little guys to call me and feel me out for 20 minutes.  I don't think we're a good match. I'm a buy and hold guy.  They want to sell you that if you pay them a percentage, they can do better than me by I guess trading around a little bit here and there.  I got Andy in CC doing a little bit of that for me right now.  I'll talk to Andy about it and go from there. Meanwhile I'm still in a profit position on my first forex paper trade.  I moved up my Stop Loss to minus 1.5 ATR from the top.   I thought, looking at the chart, that I moved it up after the price had gone below and then came back up above that mark. But looking at it more closely now and looking at the lows for candles since the top, I see that price since top has never dropped below my new SL of 1.31418. Right now price is playing that 1.31418 line like maybe I'm not the only guy looking at it.

Got my gym day out of the way.  Weighed it at under 200 pounds so decided I would eat again this week and not start back on diet until gym scale says I'm over 200.  Was 196.6 after swim and workout last night. Dave Ramsey says he doesn't play stocks.  Says he only holds debt-free real estate and mutual funds.  I have appointment with Dave Ramsey Smartvestor Pro this afternoon at 3:43 PM ET.  I'll talk to him about the barbell strategy and why I would ever pay anybody to tell me what Dave has already told me. I think like KC that anything you need to know can be found for free on the internet.  Why would I charge somebody a fee to tell them to cut up their credit cards and live on beans and rice? Today is gym day.  1 PM to 6 PM ET.  Two hours exercise, then swim, then hot tub whirlpool boiler 30 minutes, then steam room 15 minutes, then dry sauna 15 minutes, then shower, shave, brush teeth, comb hair, fresh, clean, dry underwear, socks, t-shirt, and dress t-shirt.  Put on my cap and I'm out the door for my now then burrito then back to the house to check my trades and listen to some VP podcasts. I like the program. I made it through my 40 hour weekend.  KC says he also is still working and hourly pay job.  That's good for a person to have that steady paycheck to know your bills are covered outside of your trading. In The School of Opportunity for Underprivileged Kids all students are required to have a 40 hour per week job and to hit the gym every Wednesday. Beyond that all effort is put into trading. I have to get my Virginia drivers license "upgraded" to real ID status or I won't be able to fly.  Sneak across the border in Mexico and they give you $5,000 and fly you anywhere you want to go without any ID at all.  Born in the USA and worked here all your life and getting ready to retire and you need to upgrade to real ID or you can't fly anywhere. I think trading psychology is to always be thinking about your trading business.  Even when you are doing other things. KC and VP say you want to get to a point where you only spend about 15 minutes per day looking at charts, entering trades, managing trades, and exiting trades. That is no-nonsense trading if I ever heard it. I checked KC's Discord and expectedly there is no trade signal on a Sunday and I will look again for the Monday night trade signal. The Monday candles have started printing and another forex trading week has begun.

I like how KC went all in with VP. I like going all in with VP and it's good to have KC to help me do it. It's a years long plan.   That's why most quit. It's not overnight success. KC says 5 years ago he knew nothing about trading. Today he is an officially funded prop trader. KC says there's 28 pairs he wants me to follow. I'm not sure where he comes up with these 28 pairs. I think maybe they are "the majors" discussed in the baby pips training. I think they are all listed out on his backtesting spreadsheet. I am looking for the 28 pairs and will add them all to my market watch at this time.

Right now my goal is to get through my 40-hour weekend job and make it to the next paycheck. I'm watching my first paper trade, added 2nd trend indicator, removed gridlines, and waiting for system to instruct me to exit.

The School of Opportunity for Underprivileged Kids is currently in pretty good shape.  Right now we have one student and that is me.  The teacher is KC and VP. My dryer went out on me today on laudry day.  But that's one of the benefits of having weekdays off.  The Sears repair man is scheduled to be here between 12 and 4 PM ET. I just checked Discord and I'm waiting for a signal from KC today between 4h35 to 4h55 ET. I will watch KC's episode 8 YouTube video today. I'm watching my paper trade number 1 for indicator to flip and for the system to instruct me to exit.

My trade is actually looking pretty good. I had the chart on my radar and I was chomping at the bit just to enter a trade just to go through the mechanics of it. Now I can see that yes it's a killer trade but I did not wait for the indicator to flip. Next time I will wait for the indicator to flip before entering the trade. Now I'm waiting for the indicator to flip at which time I will exit the trade.

It's great to have a mentor like KC.  And I won't even get in to KC's mentor VP right here.  But VP is in a whole 'nother level from the way I see it.   But KC is my guy.  I mean a work 15 minutes a day and then go fishing plan?  Who could argue with that.  And I've had my eye on trading for a number of years now as I'm heading into retirement at age 61. I talked with my retirement planner at Fidelity yesterday and got the weatherstripping fixed on my Honda Accord EX sedan.  It's great to have a nice new car, a good job, and some money in the bank, and be heading into retirement. I checked in with KC on X and Discord.  Need to figure out how to get around in Discord better.  I signed up for it a few years ago when I was trying to follow Ross Cameron and Warrior Trading.  Ross is still out there and her is definitely trying to make money off of his students. I'm like KC when he found VP.  He saw that VP's goal was not to make money off of his students and that alone was enough for me to jump ship. Heading out the door to get car repaired.  If I was rich I would just have my hired help take it down there for me while I sat in my office and traded forex pairs.   And maybe I am rich and I could do it right now anyway but it's just a psychology barrier that is causing me to do it myself.   Got to work on my psychology so the only thing I ever do is trade forex with KC.

The market is open and the prices are moving. I am working on exiting my first paper trade. From what I understand, this is what KC and VP do for a living. Quite a nice challenge for me in retirement.  Kind of like fishing.  Waiting for a bite. This morning I will take my 2023 Honda Accord EX sedan with about 3,000 miles on it down to the dealer for 7:15 AM appointment.  Weatherstripping is falling off front drivers side door and will have them check a knick on the rear passenger side wheel where I lightly touched a curb going into the gym garage parking log. I should be covered under warranty and extra protection insurance that I bought when I bought the car.  I guess the company got sold and I may have to deal with two companies but the second company told me they would deal directly with the company the sold the company to. American business is a funny thing but try living in North Korea sometime or probably Iran or Cuba or somewhere in the Gaza Strip.  I'm proud to be an Americ

My job is key right now.  If I can keep my paycheck coming in I will be able to keep ahead of my bills and keep saving money.  If I get fired things could be tight depending on how long I live and how my health holds out before I become senile and go blind.  I'll talk to my retirement lady Lilian about it tomorrow at 2 PM ET on a Zoom call.  Right now I got to get a little rest before my ten-hour shift in the office to wrap up my week.

Roy says Ahmed must be cheating because his moves have been like 97% totally accurate or something so I talked to Ahmed and he says he uses a simulator.  Well Roy says that's cheating and I can't argue that using a simulator is not cheating.  Nobody likes to be called a cheater but we're going to reset the board and make a rule that nobody can use a simulator.

I got an appointment for tomorrow morning at 715 AM ET Go no idea if I'm covered or not will find out then. I bought my 2023 Honda Accord EX sedan from Fairfax Honda. The weatherstripping is falling off of the driver's side front door. And I knicked a curb with my passenger side rear wheel. I call Fairfax Honda and got me and appointment for tomorrow morning at 7:15 AM. I ask 'em about the extra coverage I paid a lot of money for that the sales guy said would take care of everything for me. The guy says that company is no longer in business or something. Says I bought that from Rosenthal Automotive who used to own that dealership but they sold that dealership to Dar Cars about 9 months ago. Says I should be covered under warranty from Honda but they will have to look at it and let me know after they look at it. Says I need to talk to Rosenthal about whatever I paid a big chunk of change to Rosenthal for the deluxe coverage package. Calling Rosenthal at this time.

I need to ask Lilian if I'm rich or if I'm poor. If I'm poor I will live on beans and rice until I am rich and try to leave as much as I can in my will to underprivileged kids. If I'm rich I will invest in my business and try to increase my cash flow. I think I am pretty good off as far as net worth goes but my cash flow is the key and my cash flow is currently tied to my job which is currently tied to a specific building in a specific geographic location. Which really is not a big deal for me because I could just live right here until I die. Now if being the biggest word in the dictionary, if they would let me work from home like everybody else on my team, then I could think of other possibilities. But right now my cash flow is tied to that building and that job and that's not such a bad thing.  Things could definitely be worse. But cash flow is king.  And cash flow requires a business.  And my cash flow from the job is capped hard probably at a 3% increase per yea

Watching every youtube video on KC's channel again. I like these little shorts. When I studied for my CCNA I followed Chris Bryant.  He did great training videos and called his students bulldogs. You can teach anybody anything. I could still go out there and get my CCIE.  I got this guy who has a zero to CCIE training course.  He does live training and charges lots of money.   I like the video training so I can rewind and watch again and again. KC is a great teacher and he has a passion for teaching and helping students.

My indicator has not flipped. I exit the trade only when the indicator instructs me to do so. Patiently waiting for my indicator to flip while I backtest and study backtesting and look at other pairs for trade setups.

KC says start every day out with discipline.  I agree with this.  It is the best thing you can do for yourself. If you start every day out with discipline, do your best throughout the day, and get to bed in a nice comfortable safe home at the end of the day, then that is a good day. Even Sam the inspirational nomad on YouTube who lives in his car will tell you that. For me it's get up, shave face, brush teeth, take a shower, comb my hair, put on good clean comfortable clothes, jeans and t-shirts, lucky I can wear jeans and t-shirts at work.  Others can work from home in their underwear but God doesn't like poor-me babies and I got to humbly get my ass into work cleaned up and ready to deal with people and my boss face to face. On the one hand I could look at it like it's pretty damn good because on the one hand it is pretty damn good.   It's a pure psychology game just like trading and life. And I could probably live without it. But $110k annual salary is good for paying bills and padding up my trading account.  Plus they give you a nice stock grant every year.  And that means I take home $6k per month after taxes and good health insurance is paid for. Some make more some make less.  Probably more make less.  And lots of underprivileged kids out there who my never see such a nice day as I am living today. So, I like to listen to Merle Haggard songs and work.  As long as these two hands are fit to use. Right now I'm working with KC.  And KC is working with VP and the NNFX boys. I like starting out with KC because the waters seem calmer there and my head is already full of forex stuff and reaching over

All right KC, I got home from work at 5:25 PM ET and see market is open. I modified my SL to BE. Question: My spreadsheet close is 1.228248 It appears from my Trade tab in the MT4 Terminal pane that my order was filled at 1.28570 So, I modified my SL to 1.28570 Or should I have modified my SL to the candle close price of 1.28248? Here is how my trade looks now.

I got home last night after work and KC had some good words waiting for me about trading forex. I lucked out on my first forex paper trade. KC is helping me to learn some lessons from it. Next I will exit the trade, calculate my profit and loss, journal the trade, and move towards entering paper trade number 2. It appears that the 8/16 candle has closed out as the price is not changing at this time. And the 8/17 candle has not yet started to print. It appears that we are in some sort of a market closed condition at this time. I got to look at the timeframes and understand during what times the candles are printing and at what times the candles stop printing and then when they start printing again. I'll go check in with KC on X and see what he's doing now.

Work 10 hours on job. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Manage money. Talk to advisors. Eat beans and rice. Trade with KC.

I just went and paid my electric bill $19.48. Funny how money is such a thing. I like Dave Ramsey because he talks to people who $19.48 could make a big difference in their life. My plan is to work the Dave Ramsey four walls beans and rice program that got me to where I am today until the day I die. Along the way I will try to be the best student KC has ever had and someday maybe even graduate up into the VP classes. I like budgeting and watching every penny.   Right now I'm living on about half of what I take home after taxes so able to save 50% of after tax income. If I can maintain this indefinitely I should be ok. I talk with Lilian at Fidelity about my retirement game plan next Tuesday at two.ss Work today, tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday 10 hours each day. Today is back to work day.  On the one hand the office is total bullshit, and on the other hand it is a good job with a Tier 1 ISP that pays me pretty good and allows me to build up my trading account. Someday the paycheck will end.  I have been blessed that even if it did end today I should be able to make it.  I'm a lot better off than a lot of people in this world thank God. And that reminds me, today is payday.  Let me go take a look-see at my new trading account balance.

It looks to me like my first forex paper trade hit my TP line and closed out. Looks like my SL order is still there. Looks like my SL order is at +$252.80. I'm not 100% sure of everything that happened overnight but to me right now it looks pretty good.

I'm 61 years old.  KC is 29 years old.  KC says his goal is to make $20,000 per month.  My goal is the same.   My plan is the same as KC's plan. Well, I finally made it. I'm a trader. I trade with KC. The EUR/JPY currency pair looks like it may change from red to green one of these days on the FX Sniper indicator. When it does that means buy. Once I get to making $10,000 per month I will start paying other people's bills where I can and continue to expand the School of Opportunity for Underprivileged Kids. And I will build my church. Everybody is building a church. A church is a building, where there is a pastor.  The congregation follows the pastor. They follow the pastor because they believe in what the pastor is preaching. OK I just posted the daily chart of   EUR/USD here at this blog in my previous post. I have no idea what I'm looking at but KC and others tell me I am looking at freedom. All of my life I have wanted freedom. I can't imagine anybody who would not want freedom. I have been a slave since the day I was born basically. As basically we all have been. But certainly not as bad of a situation of slavery as many millions have had before me and during my lifetime. It's hard to imagine the terrible lives that many find themselves trapped in. I was trapped in a life that many millions would kill to have.  My Dad wasn't the richest man in the world but he also wasn't the poorest man in the world by any stretch of the imagination. My Dad was a veterinarian out of the University of Pennsylvania on a G.I. Bill.  Good story and good man.
