Sourya Rai

I like this trader on X. He sends out good signals on Telegram. @SouryaRai20

I live back in the woods you see

Just the woman and the kids and the dogs and me.

Way too far ahead in the curriculum.

Watching VP's beginner video.  He made it because beginners would be finding his channel and trying to jump in at a point that was way too far ahead in the curriculum for them.  Basically he nails it right there.  That's why I like KC is he is taking all of this stuff that he learned from VP and as far as I can tell at this point condensing it all down to where even a cave man could do it.  Investigating further at this time. I've got a problem I can't solve

And I'm gonna sit here 'til I figure out The reason why my baby doesn't love me anymore Life is a funny thing.  And soon it will be coming to an end for all of us.  In a hundred years nobody living today will be alive.  For me it could be another ten, fifteen, twenty, or thirty years.  Nobody knows.  God knows. Life is a marathon.  And I am still chugging away towards the finish line.  One of the major objectives obviously is to not run out of money before I get there. And the only thing I know about money is that I have to go to work and get a paycheck. So how long will I be able to do that becomes the question. And how much of those paychecks will I have left in the bank due to my savings efforts. It's the same equation for everybody.  Seems like it would have been figured out a long time ago.  And basically it has been figured out since the beginning of time and Dave Ramsey will fill you in on the details.  Now it's just a matter of working with my financial plan

Board of Directors

was going to write something about Board of Directors.  I'm not feeling it now that I'm sitting down here at the typewriter.  Let me go check X and my trades first. OK we sit on a board of directors together along with anybody else we decide to let in. Or you sit on a board and need me to sit on the board with you. This is the working with other people business model. Trading is a business where you don't have to work with anybody but at the same time you can work with everybody. Trading is the perfect business model and it is pure psychology. The stars may be aligning for me here at last. And regardless of the trading stars, I am on the Dave Ramsey solid ground. I've got a better floor than I had before. And that's not just a metaphor.

Jason Hamilton CFP Keep It Simple Financial Planning

I woke up on this day after gym Thursday morning and grabbed my phone.  On Facebook I see this guy talking about what sounds like to be a good financial retirement plan. All I got to do is sit here and pay the cost of living which mostly is HOA, property taxes, auto and home insurance, and groceries.  Along with whatever else it costs me to live and now that I'm back on my diet plan after binging like a pig for the last month I should be saving even more on Arby's and Papa Johns. https://www.keepitsimplefinancial.com/our-story Our story originates just before the 2008-2009 financial crisis. Before this, our founder Jason J. Hamilton’s family owned a small business: An Italian restaurant in a suburb of San Jose, CA called Willow Glen. The restaurant's name was Mio Vicino which means "my neighbor."

The Life of a Writer

How to be a writer.  Write every day.  It matters not if a single person reads a single word ever other than yourself.  You are a now a writer.   If anybody asks you what you do you can say I'm a writer. I get anxiety thinking I'm going to run out of money before I die.  I'm sure that affects a lot, a lot, a lot of people.  What I like to do is to think about people who are even in worse shape than I am.  Some might look at my situation and say you've got it made in the shade man.  And I do.  On the one hand, but on the other hand the amount of money I can spend on a monthly basis is the question.  I'm trying to figure that out and understand that and trying to follow as many financial advisors as I can on X. In the meantime I've got trader friends out there who apparently are bringing in a good cash flow by trading.  I like VP he seems to be a good conservative guy.  A guy who has come from the poker tables of Las Vegas to now living within his means and making

Everybody has a business.  There's no way around it.  The majority run a business called a job.  Some have higher paying jobs than others.  Some with lower paying jobs are better savers and investors than some with higher paying jobs and end up better off financially. Dave Ramsey is the best business coach I have ever had in my life.  I've been a high earner or maybe a little bit above average or maybe average but bringing in a steady paycheck pretty much all of my life since the say I got my first paycheck at Martin Marietta Denver Aerospace as a Software Test Engineer in 1984. The opportunities that I have wasted in my life are too many to mention.  Or maybe I'll get around to mentioning them all in excruciating detail right here on this blog before they bury me.  Stay tuned to find out or check back in 5 years.  I would bet the only way this blog will ever not be here ever again would be from nuclear disaster or else I say the wrong thing and Big Brother makes it disappe

Back To The Blog

Back to good old bloggin'.  Back in the day I was a big blogger.  I blogged about Irwin Schiff.  When the IRS clamped down on me I got scared and deleted everything.  I even made a blog for Irwin.  I see it has now since been removed.  I suppose everything is still there in the archives if anybody wanted to find it bad enough. That was many years ago.  I met Irwin in Atlanta, Georgia.  I went to two of his seminars.  He told me to mark exempt on my W2 and tell them to screw off.  He should have told me to make sure I don't spend a penny of it and put it all into gold.  But I spent it all and it didn't work out so well when it came collection time. It was a lot like trading.  You could go exempt on your W2, put all the money into cash or gold, never spend a penny, and probably hold off the IRS until after you were in the ground but it's a psychological game.  You better be on damn solid ground financially and ready to spend a lot of your time defending yourself from thei

Probably only have one report today.  The forex market is 24x5 and is going right now as far as I know. I just checked my charts in MT4 and the charts are indeed moving. I've got paper trade #3 and paper trade #4 underway. Yea the forex game looks pretty cool.  And the education is free, you just have to work for it.  Or at least the cost is a laptop pc, a smart phone that spies on you, and a Starlink connection. Soon it will be starlink directly to you phone and your laptop pc. VP says he likes just closing his laptop, throwing it into a bag, and heading north for the summer to get out of the hot Las Vegas heat.  He seems like a real guy to me and he's not charging me a dime so I'm with KC on this plan. It's the love of money that is the root of all evil.  If I can use my success to help other people then God will bless me to be able to help others even more.  Welcome Mr. KC as Executive Advisor here at the school. I agree with all the traders that trading is the coole

Money is the root of all evil.

The phrase “money is the root of all evil” is a well-known saying that suggests that the love of money or an excessive focus on wealth can lead to negative outcomes, such as greed, selfishness, and unethical behavior. The actual quote comes from the New Testament of the Bible, specifically 1 Timothy 6:10, which states: “ For the love of money is the root of all evil .” However, it’s important to note that the phrase “money is the root of all evil” is often misinterpreted to mean that all money or wealth is inherently evil, when in fact the quote specifically refers to the love of money as a potential source of evil. In essence, the phrase warns against the dangers of prioritizing money over other important values such as honesty, integrity, and compassion, and suggests that focusing too much on accumulating wealth can lead to moral corruption and negative consequences. https://www.moneyfit.org/is-money-the-root-of-all-evil/

Trade With KC Sunday Report 001

I should have a couple of reports today.  I'm managing paper trade #3 and ready to enter paper trade #4 tonight at 5 PM ET. Don't tell my boss but I'm working from home today.  Call me crazy, call me a knucklehead, but I think my family is just as important as the other members of my team who have been working from home every day for the last 15 months. I'm tellin' you what brother, working remote as a network engineer is pretty much just as good as being a trader if not better.  The money is a guaranteed as any paycheck has ever been and the freedom is pretty much comparable to the freedom that any trader has. A trader can't just do nothing and it takes a lot of work to get to a level of income that is comparable to a remote network engineer.  And it took me a lot of work to get to where I am and now for them to hand the remote badge of courage to everybody on my team but threaten me with termination because I was smart enough to live within 50 miles of the off

Writing Is A Thing

Image
The forex market is an interesting thing.  From what I understand there as some who make a good living by trading forex.  On X there are traders who tell me I can do the same.  KC lays it out pretty good in his videos.  And it gives me something to do.  Everybody has to do something. I like writing.  And I like reading.  I don't like to worry about money.  I'm sure nobody likes to worry about money.  Maybe there are people who have a lot less money that I do who worry about it a lot less than me. It's the medical bills that are going to get you.  The insurance companies say pay me now, or pay me later.  That's why Jesus is the only answer and the only rest you will ever find.  The truth of God's word and loving him will set you free. Paper trade #3 is coming along nicely.  The candles have stopped moving for the weekend.

Take This Job and Shove It

Image
I should just quit my job.  If I could work from home like everybody else on my team and be treated fairly I wouldn't even think about it.  But for now I'll see if I can keep a few more paychecks coming in. If it ended I think I could go ahead and retire.  Might run out of money eventually but I guess I wouldn't be alone.  As long as you got God with you, you're never alone. Getting some good following going on over at KC on X.  I like being in a class with other guys who are working on the same thing.  Nothing better than that. I did it with the Cisco certification game, I did it in first grade.  Working together with a team of guys and a good teacher is fun.  I like getting to know the other guys who are following KC over on X. Working on paper trade #3 looking good so far.  Hit TP and moved SL up to break even.

Here's an interesting take on retirement. https://airplanehome.com/

The Psychology of Getting Old and Dying

The class of '81 still has a little time left.  Some more than others.  Some are already gone on.  Some have it better.  Some have it worse. I like the KC and VP program.  It suits my personality.   Last night on the psychology podcast VP and Robb Reinhold were talking about the many doors to choose from in trading.  And how any one of them could work and probably would work if you just stick to your system.  Almost as if consistency was the most important thing.  They talked about some traders basing their entries on the formation of the stars and the planets and others flipping coins and one guy who sacrificed a chicken to get the signal. Crazy shit as Robb said.  And he's been at the game for a long time.  And he's still in the game and VP is still in the game and KC is still in the game and I am still in the game. Remaining in the game and striving towards consistency sounds like it could be the key.  The price of free I think is a big element in the psychology game.  N

Trade With KC Thursday Report 002

The thing I like about the KC and VP NNFX program is that it's free. Some might say you get what you pay for. Others might say why would anybody charge somebody to read their blog and follow their tweets and why would anybody care if you had a few thousand guys following you and doing the exact same thing you are doing in the forex market.  I don't think a few thousand traders making a few thousand dollars a day is going to sway the forex market one way or the other.  It probably wouldn't even sway the New York Stock Exchange which is a pretty small market compared to the forex market from what I understand. I can't guarantee that I will ever make a penny in the forex market but I'm staring down retirement whether I have a sideline business or not and the business of trading seems to me the most perfect business to pursue.  I've pursued many sideline business ventures over the last 61 years and I have no doubt that the trading business sounds like the most perfe

It's like I'm an old man stranded on a desert island.  But I'm not that old.  I know old guys down at the gym who are a lot older than me.  To them I'm a young man.  And I could have a good ten or fifteen or twenty years of healthy and wealthy living in front of me.  I'll probably read about a lot of young men dying in the newspapers along the way. Freedom is the keyword.  Where at least I know I'm free as the song goes.  And there is a definite difference between the free I have been living in America all of my life and this whimsical magical "financial freedom" that I have heard about ever since I came to realize that working a job after college was definitely not my idea of freedom. As far as I can tell VP is free.  But he has to work.  He better stay on top of his money game and he better watch is risk management.  Risk management never ends.  He's free to travel but I would say why would anybody not put in a good amount of work to make your fi

VP and Robb Reinhold

I like VP and Robb Reinhold.  Hard to believe there are actually professionals who trade for a living.  But I like hanging out with traders probably better than I like hanging out with anybody else because traders have a dream and some are even living it like apparently VP and Robb Reinhold and many others.  Possibly into the thousands or maybe tens of thousands or more.  People who trade for a living and that's what they do.  A very incredible occupation. And there are some who write for a living.  Ernest Hemmingway, Mark Twain, Jack London.  The list of people who write for a living may be as long as the list of people who trade for a living.  Bloggers, journalists, all kinds of writers.  And now even big shitposters on X apparently can even make a living doing that.  But just like writing and trading and shitposting on X, anything that anybody who is struggling financially and working a low lifestyle job that hardly covers the bills much less anything else might look at and say

The Dunning-Kruger Effect

Image
The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias where people with low ability or knowledge in a particular area tend to overestimate their competence. This effect is named after psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger, who first identified it in 1999. The phenomenon occurs because those with limited skills or knowledge often lack the self-awareness to recognize their own shortcomings, leading them to believe they are more capable than they truly are. Conversely, those who are more knowledgeable or skilled in a field may underestimate their abilities, often because they are more aware of the complexities and nuances involved. In summary: Low-skilled individuals overestimate their ability. High-skilled individuals may underestimate their ability. This effect highlights the importance of metacognition (awareness of one's own thinking and knowledge) in evaluating competence.

There's more people drowning than there are people making lots of money by trading.  Doesn't mean it can't be done but you probably better make your money with a job to get started.  Even KC has a job to help him get to where he wants to be in trading. VP had a job to help him get to where he is in trading. I read on X some guy who quit his job and went right into full-time trading and credits that decision to his success like burning the boats and leaving himself no other way out. I don't think I could have done that and I have no plans of quitting my job ever.  Now they may fire me or lay me off or otherwise find some way to get rid of me but in the meantime I will try to keep the paycheck coming in. And if the paycheck does ever stop coming in I may consider finding another job.  Jobs are good for more than the paycheck even though the paycheck is the most critical piece.  Jobs keep you mind occupied and your physical being occupied and usually you have to be away to

I think KC and VP are good trading coaches.  A good place for a beginner like me to start out.  Even though at 61 years of age I cannot really say that I am just starting out although in a way every day is a new day no matter how old you are. One thing I can guarantee is that next year I will be 62 years old and the year after that I will be 63 years old and I will get a year older every year until they bury me even though I will be cremated like my Mom and Dad.  I agree with them that a burial is a waste of money and I may note even pay for the little boxes at the cemetery with your name on it to keep the ashes in. I think the American Indians used to build these big cremation places out of sticks and burn their dead.  I saw it in a movie once.   I think it was called The Man Called Horse with Dustin Hoffman if I recall. I like the American Indian way of life.  No houses, no homes, just running free and killing what you need to eat.  Interesting culture. The white man on the other han

Labor Day weekend in USA comes to a close.  Listening to Bloomberg radio in the car while I got a Papa John's pizza.   Tomorrow off, Wednesday off and gym, Thursday off, Friday work 10 hours in office 29, Saturday PTO, Sunday work from home, Monday work in office 29 10 hours.  In the meantime, study NNFX with KC and the boys. Watching paper trade number 2.  See signal in Discord regarding EUR/AUD.  I missed an entry there.  Up +109.32 in paper trade #2.  Second candle (9/3) since entry candle (8/30) is currently printing.

F U University

The only way a man can tell his boss to go pound sand is to have the FU money. If you ain't got the FU money then you better keep kissing his ass. But at the same time stand up for your rights as best you can.  Keep piling up as much as you can because that is the only reason you get out of bed and get your ass into that empty building doing the same thing your supposed equal peers are doing from the comfort of their own home. Even if you got a little bit of FU money get ready.  Especially if you are 61 years old.  The good old FU clock is running out.   I think the good Lord may have blessed me with a win here however.  As long as I don't fuck it up.  And same goes for you dear reader, same goes for you. Like General Lee would say, "I sure as damn hell didn't expect that to happen!"

The Psychology of Retirement

I can tell you right now, there are many men my age who would like to have it as good financially as I have it right now.  Thank God for that.   As sad as it is, many men are in much worse shape today financially than I am.  Mark Levin is not one of them but there are more probably than not. And I thank God and Pastor Murray and Matt Furey (got to check in and see how old Matt Furey is doing) and Uncle Dave Ramsey for that. Beans and rice, rice and beans.  Study and work for 20 years, pile up a bunch of cash, get ready to retire, try not to get fired, get that emergency fund built up as high as you can.  Dave says $1,000 but man if you can do more then do more do as much as you can and keep studying like Data Bunny on X and all the guys on X that are studying for network engineering certification and working to get that next best job. But I'm on the two-minute warning here guys and I've gotten myself along with the blessings of God to this position where I need to do like Dave

The dream is to go to heaven.  Because I sure don't want to go to hell. I like working with traders.  I like working with network engineers who are cramming for network engineering certificates and that is pretty much guaranteed.  Guaranteed that you will have a boss to report to and have to worry about not pissing off too much. Traders on the other hand have no boss other than the market.  The barrier is purely psychological.  To think that you could actually be so lucky to only have to work 15 minutes a day and then go and do whatever you want. When I was 25 years old I wrote a poem. I work from my own home for just four hours I piss and moan the rest the day away I make a hundred fifty grand so I don't really give a damn I just as soon a throw it all away throw it all away Well I'm now 61 years old and still working on the dream. It crashed pretty hard after being fired twice from good jobs and having a tough run-in with the IRS.  Ed and Elaine Brown are still in prison

I have entered my paper trade #2 at this time. Currently up over $100.  I guess I'm risking $2,000 trading a $100,000 account.  I like the system.  I like the daily candles.  I like KC's videos.  I like VP and NNFX.  It seems like a good business plan to me. I went to Arby's and ate some beef and cheddar sandwiches.  I really like the beef and cheddar sandwiches at Arby's.  I've always been a big Arby's fan ever since my first beef and cheddar many years ago at an Arby's in Colorado Springs coming back from some school sports event in a bus with other kids from school.  We stopped at the Arby's there and the rest is history. I would imagine there are many men who would love to be able to work for just 15 minutes a day and then have the rest of the day to do whatever they wanted to do and still be making as much or more than they would be making if they had a regular job.  I would imagine there is not a man alive who would not like to do that. And it seem

Me and KC are following VP.  I like having a partner in this game.  A partner who is willing to help out and not even charge me a dime.  I like saving every penny I can and keeping my overhead down to the bare minimum. I read an article somewhere that said most retirees need $5,000 per month to live.  Social Security will give me around $2,000 so I got to pull $3,000 out of savings every moth once I lose my paycheck.   Right now my paycheck is $6,000 per month after taxes and my expenses I've been able to hold down around $3,000 per month so right now I'm able to put away a good $2,000 to $3,000 into savings every month for as long as I keep my job which I'm hoping will be until I can't do it anymore.   I could make it to 70 I'm guessing would be about the longest they would keep paying me and that might be a long shot but I got Glen down there who is 71 and he's still working away as some kind of corporate pencil push in the Internet Service Provider business.
